This Title brings lot of interesting things to the table for me.

The first thing that comes to my head is “CRAZY”.  I am crazy for marrying a farmer, busy times cause crazy emotions to appear and life is just crazy during this time.  For about 2 months there is no routine lots of spur of the moment things happen. Things just are multiplied (people, equipment, and food).

As a Wife of a Wheat farmer, I try to do everything around the house to save time and energy for the Farmer to put all his energy into the Harvest. Long days and nights without the farmer being beside you.  Sometimes it is lonely and very peaceful, other times it is too crazy to even, stop for a cup of tea.

My day starts off getting up and preparing lunches for all the family members then off to school or work for us all.  The next I will see the school children is to give them more food and off to the paddock they head.  Then dinner comes around and more food preparation and delivery to the paddock and complex.  Delivery of dinners sometimes makes you feel you are going crazy by running around making sure everyone is fed and fuelled to keep going on the Harvest Journey.

Dinner times seem to be the time I get to see the Farmers.  They usually see or hear “Uber Eats/ Meals on Wheels” arriving up the paddock and then you are swarmed by Headers, Trucks, Utes, and Chaser bins.  Time for a chat and fill their bellies and off they go again.  Dinner time is when the sun is going down, just a beautiful time of the evening to appreciate this amazing land we live on. Never time to stop long as there could be rain coming or there is the festive season approaching, Christmas is just around the corner.

Christmas, another crazy time about to happen!  So I need to find time to sew my Wheat packs for Christmas markets.  Nothing like making Harvest crazier by being in the sewing room preparing for markets and going to markets or delivering my products.  CRAZY, CRAZY, CRAZY.

WHEAT HARVEST IS JUST A CRAZY TIME EACH YEAR!

Let Harvest Continue,
